How much does it cost to return a U-Haul at a different location?
If you pick it up at one location and drop it off at another it’s considered s one way move. One way move rates are flat rates (ex $240 plus $0.40 for every like above 120 miles) and usually less expensive if you’re going more than 200ish miles. These rates also specify the amount of days and miles allowed.
How do I add a day to my UHaul?

Can uhaul be dropped off anywhere?
Where do I drop off my U-Haul equipment? Please refer to your contract. If you have an In-Town Rental contract, this must be returned to the location you picked it up from. All One Way contracts will include a return location address, or a phone number to arrange a drop-off location.
What is U-Haul $50 guarantee?
Should U-Haul, through its own fault fail to meet time, place and equipment size, a $50 “Reservation Guarantee” will be paid and U-Haul will still attempt to fill the reservation.
Can you return a uhaul early?
If the truck is used for a one-way move and you return it early, no refund is usually granted. On local, round-trip moves, the renter will only be charged for the days he has the rental so a refund will usually be granted for the unused days.
Does uhaul put a hold on your card?
Credit / Debit Card Hold Times U-Haul places a hold on your account on all local moves. Once you return your equipment and we have an exact amount to charge your account we use the amount held to collect the total amount due.
Can uhaul sue me?
In some circumstances, an injured person may be able to sue U-Haul based on its negligence. Because U-Haul rents its vehicles to drivers, it is typically not liable for the accidents caused by them.

Does uhaul refund for unused days?
Unused days or mileage are not refunded. Additional days and additional miles are charged at the pre-agreed rate on the contract. Upon check-in fuel, vehicle damage and vehicle condition will be verified. With U-Haul, you can even check the truck in yourself with your smartphone if you choose to self-return your truck.
Do you get your U-Haul deposit back?
Paying with cash? If you’re paying in stacks of Benjamins (or Washingtons), you’ll need to put down a $100 security deposit for your rental truck and/or $75 on any trailer or towing equipment at the time of pick-up. (You’ll get that security deposit back when you return everything to U-Haul.)
What happens if you hit a car with a uhaul?
If your vehicle is struck by a U-Haul in the parking lot, damages will only be covered if the driver purchased the Safemove Plus protection plan through the company. With this coverage comes their supplemental liability coverage that safeguards the driver’s own personal insurance policy for up to $1 million in damages.
